Ecuador is located in the Eastern part of South America and bordered by the Pacific Ocean. Ecuador also includes the Galápagos Islands and is known for its colonial cities, Amazonian jungle, largest variety of orchids and natives markets. High season runs from mid-June to early September and from late December through early January.
